Rampage Jackson Responds to Rumors After Son’s Wrestling Incident

Quinton “Rampage” Jackson has addressed widespread rumors following an incident involving his son, Raja Jackson, at a KnokXPro Wrestling event on Saturday night.

During the show, Raja was seen on a live stream attacking wrestler Stewart Smith, also known as “Syko Stu.” The footage, which circulated widely online, led to speculation that Smith had died after the altercation.

Jackson moved quickly to clear up misinformation.

“I want to clear up the misinformation about my son Raja,” Jackson wrote on X. “I’ve been confirmed that the wrestler (Stewart Smith aka Syko Stu) is awake and stable.”

According to Jackson, his son had been struck in the head by Smith shortly before the match and was told he could retaliate in the ring. Believing it was part of the show, Raja entered and delivered a hard slam followed by a series of punches. Smith appeared to be knocked unconscious before other wrestlers intervened.

Jackson called the situation “bad judgment” and admitted Raja should never have been involved.

“Raja is an MMA fighter, not a pro wrestler, and had no business in the ring,” Jackson said. “He also suffered a concussion days ago and should not have been in any physical situation. My main concern is Mr. Smith’s recovery.”

Rumors that Smith had “flat-lined” appear to have been fueled by Raja’s own live stream, where a caller told him the wrestler had collapsed in the ring.

Smith was taken to a hospital with serious injuries but is reported to be in stable condition.

Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer called the incident “the worst thing I’ve ever seen in a ring,” while Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp said the planned segment went too far when Raja’s real punches caused significant damage.

Jackson apologized on behalf of his son and to the event organizers.

The incident has raised questions about safety at independent wrestling events and whether non-wrestlers should be allowed to participate in staged segments.
